MHS - PSAT Testing

Description
**Special PSAT School Day Schedule!** The Preliminary SAT (PSAT)/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) is a great tool for students considering college. The PSAT/NMSQT measures critical reading skills, math problem-solving skills, and writing skills. Montgomery High School recommends that ALL students take the PSAT/NMSQT to receive feedback about strengths and weaknesses, enter the competition for National Merit Scholar scholarships (11th graders), and help prepare for the SAT. For the 2024 PSAT/NMSQT, students at Montgomery High School will be registering online for the October 21, 2024, school day test administration. This registration will take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access. The Online Exam registration IS NOW LIVE and ends on Monday, Oct 14, 2024. To register, visit www.TotalRegistration.net/PSAT/311359. To complete registration, students must answer all of the required questions. Registration is incomplete until students have printed the pdf of the confirmation page provided at the end. Montgomery High School is excited to cover the costs for ALL students in Grade 11 (juniors). For students in grade 10 (current sophomores), the cost of the PSAT is $25. Families of sophomores have the convenience of paying the $25 exam fee online at the time of registration. Please have a debit or credit card available before beginning registration. Paying online is a great way to ensure payment has been made while avoiding mailing payments. Any family experiencing financial hardship should reach out to their guidance counselor. Here are the important dates for the registration process: Fri, Sep 13, 2024 - Registration Begins Mon, Oct 14, 2024 - Registration Ends Thu, Oct 17, 2024 - Registrations that have not been paid for will be canceled, and exams will not be ordered. Testing device information: The College Board is administering all PSAT tests digitally. Students are welcome to use their own devices but must download the Blue Book Application used on the day of testing and run a systems analysis. If you select not to use your device OR fail this system analysis, a Chromebook will be available for use on the day of testing.
