Our Summer Orientation will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 and we look forward to welcoming 5th and 6th graders as they prepare for their first day of school.Orientation ScheduleIncoming Grade 5- Orientation: 9:00-11:00 a.m. - meet in the cafeteria- New-to-the-District Families: Please join the administration in the Media Center at 8:30 a.m. for a welcome meeting before orientation begins.Incoming Grade 6- Orientation: 1:00-3:00 p.m. - meet in the cafeteria- New-to-the-District Families: Please join the administration in the Media Center at 12:30 p.m. for a welcome meeting before orientation begins.During orientation, families will have the opportunity to meet members of the administrative team and learn about many of the procedures, expectations, and routines that help make Lower Middle School a positive and successful learning environment. Students will then use their schedules to walk through their school day, locate classrooms, and become familiar with the building before the first day of school.Please Bring Your Child's ScheduleTo make the most of the morning or afternoon, please bring a copy of your child's schedule. Families may either:- Print a copy of the schedule before arriving, or- Access the digital schedule on a mobile device.Please note that paper copies of schedules will not be distributed during orientation.We know that beginning a new school year brings excitement and anticipation and our goal is to help every student feel confident, comfortable, and ready for a successful start.
